My NEW Baby

Don’t you just love it.. After just over 2 years I’m retiring my Nikon d50 for this bad boy.  It arrives Monday and I totally can’t wait.  My husband ROCKS for agreeing to my request for it with little begging from me.  I hardly have words for how excited I am.. This is going to be the last big “me” purchase for a long while.  With the baby coming and Rob wanting a motorcycle so I had to do it right :)   Looking forward to posting pictures with it soon!

Hosting Parties

I love hosting parties and really wish I had more people to host things for.  We occassionally host the couples poker party but I’m referring to ones on a more girlie or planned occassion.  I bumped into this super cute site for anyone who like me wants to be “THE HOSTEST WITH THE MOSTEST” check out http://www.hostessblog.com/ for some fab inspiration and links to some great sites to help plan your next get together.

Shopping for Baby

Some super cute baby items.  I’m pregnant as most reading already know and my husband and I just recently found out the sex of our baby.  Its a boy!  So I’ve been searching the net for the coolest baby items.. so far I’ve bumped into some of the cutest little things.. Here are a few.

The first is from www.sarabearbaskets.com isn’t that the sweetest accessory for storing diapers & accessories.

Another is from www.adenandanais.com these are supposed to be the “it” swaddle wrap made of cotton muslin which is the same material as my bed sheets and I must say I LOVE my bedsheets!

Another is from www.babydaze.net its a handy little planner for keeping track of all the important information that doesn’t make it into your baby book..

Trying a Project 366 for 2008

I hate to say I tried one of these last year and did not make it very long but I’m giving it a go for 2008.  Check out the 366 page tab above and see how I’m doing thoughout the year.

New Obsession

I’m slowly becomming more and more obsessed with pajama pants.  Everywhere I go I am on the lookout for the next most comfy pair of bottoms.  Which is usually paired with an oversized sweatshirt.  I am slowly slipping into what not to wearville and on a daily basis.  Working from home watching kiddo’s its my uniform of choice :)   Don’t get my wrong I rarely will go out of the house in my warm and comfy pj bottoms but my collection of these pants has grown into a pretty large collection and I just can’t stop buying them!  Yesterday I bought 4 pairs at the Victoria Secret 50% semi annual sale and really had to resist purchasing more.  If it wasn’t for lack of money I would have bought them out! Then I used a gift card I recieved from American Eagle and bought 2 more pairs of lounge pants! Does being on sale justify needing 6 new pairs? How many pairs of pajama bottoms are necessary for one person?  And being in my first year of marrage is slipping into something “more comfortable” going to put the relationship on the path to boring, or has my collection of Victoria’s Secret Cotton already done that?

Turning it around…

Today like most days recently was spent sitting on the internet.  I don’t know what I’m doing on here half the time as I get nothing accomplished.  I know I spend way too much of my day looking at my favorite sites but I’m not quite sure how to get my butt up and go clean the house or do the laundry (which always needs done).  I think my ”job” of watching the kiddo’s is too easy.  Besides the lunch, story, and my roll in their play time, my cuties pretty much amuse themselves leaving me hours to waste, them all taking 2-3 hour naps doesn’t help either.  So I’ve decided to take a more active roll in my wasted time and actually blog about my boring day.  For those few people who stop by and browse through all my non-sense!

Tonight my sister came over to help us put together our new “movie” room.  However, the couch needed to be brought in from the Denver store so she didn’t hang out long.  She did however bring over the newest in her line of boyfriends and called minutes after they left to get my approval :)    Which she did mostly receive.  Overall though he seems like a solid guy who may just have a touch of growing up to do which will only take time.  At least this guy isn’t as old as her father ;p

Happy Holidays from the Nebinger Family!

Here at the Nebinger house we are busy getting ready for the holidays.. we’ve spent WAY to much money this Christmas getting all the goodies we’ve been wanting since we had no mortgage payment for November and December!!!  Of course saving money was out of the question instead we shopped it up.. Diamond earrings for mom, an revamped family room to hold our new 42 inch flat screen (a fabulous Christmas present from Rob’s boss),  a red love seat with double reclining seats and massagers, an xbox 360 for dad, and heelies and a new wardrobe for miss vans!  Not to mention all the other goodies I’m not mentioning here (trying to keep the guilt at bay).

Here are some of our holiday family photos.. taken using the self timer in front of our beautiful Christmas tree.  I made Christmas cards in photoshop to send out so the family photos were a must.. getting the gang to be as excited about them as I was, was another story!
